2006 - Broome
Claremont Tigers and Swan Districts headed north to Broome for a crucial WAFL match. Swans lead a by a few points at half time but the Tigers tore away to win 149 to 90. About 3,000 people watched the game at Haynes Oval on the warm afternoon.
November 2006 - Broome teenager Clinton Benjamin
selected by Carlton at draft pick 51. Age 18, he grew up in Broome and
attended Cable Beach Primary School. He is 189cm and 83kg. Clinton
is the son of Perry who played for Towns Football Club here in Broome.
