Broome Football's Demise
After the previous years fiasco, football was on a downward slide. The changing of the team names and player allegiances had probably broken down the traditions and team spirit built up since footballs inception. Many new players came to Broome in 1928 such as Milner (owner of Sun Pictures as well as the Ice and Cordial Factory), Locke and Murphy and it was decided in July that they should organise a challenge match against the old players.
